Adnan Syed, Guilty or Innocent?

The case for Adnan Syed is about a boy in 1999 getting convicted for the murder of his ex-girlfriend and being locked up in jail to this present day, and by the looks of it, the rest of his life. But I don't think he deserves this. From the evidence I have heard about I believe that Adnan is innocent and should be a free man.
What first made me lean towards Adnan's innocence was when I heard the first podcast. It was here I discovered that Asia was able to remember the day that Hae (Adnan's ex) went missing. Asia explained that she saw Adnan in the library around the same time that Hae went missing. Asia even wrote a letter for Adnan's trial to help prove that she even spoke with him at the time in the library, yet this was not enough to prove anything. But when I listened to the third podcast, I received further proof that Adnan was not the killer. In this third podcast, I hear about Leakin park. Now Leakin park isn't some park near the school or anything, it was the park where Hae's body was found. As I mentioned it not being near the school, this park was about an hour away from the school, and on top of it being far away, no one in the area even knew about its existence. I also came across a map on the serial website showing the evidence map.
As you can see here the school is not near the site so how could have Adnan possibly been able to get there and commit such a crime if he was at the library. So my opinion is mainly backed by this and the fact that Adnan's voice sounds hopeless and broken when he speaks on the phone with the narrator, Sarah Koenig. But after coming across a form of alternative media such as "The Tyee" I ha have discovered how Adnan ended up being convicted for the murder.

  1. Great use of evidence! Watch above "ha have". Acknowledge some more counter arguments to your intro. before stating your thesis. People will give your thesis more credibility, if you state what's being argued in the media.
